Simplification tries to simplify complex equations. It has some simple rules, in this, the knowledge of general rules of mathematics and the ability to calculate will be very useful for you, some general rules and formulas are as follows-

👉 'VBODMAS' or 'BODMAS' Rule-

  1. V - Vinculum
  2. B - Bracket
  3. O - Of
  4. D - Division
  5. M - Multiplication
  6. A - Addition
  7. S - Subtraction

The above steps are followed sequentially to solve any mathematical complex equation.

There are four types of brackets.

  1. ー Line/Bar bracket/Vinculum
  2. ( ) Small/Simple/Circular/Open bracket
  3. { } Curly bracket/Braces
  4. [ ] Square/Closed bracket

Solve these brackets in the same order as above.

Some Important Formulas

(a + b)2 = a2 + b2 + 2ab

(a - b)2 = a2 + b2 - 2ab

(a2 - b2) = (a+b) (a-b)

(a+b)2 + (a-b)2 = 2(a2 + b2)

(a+b)2 - (a-b)2 = 4ab

(a + b + c)2 = a2 + b2 + c2 + 2(ab + bc + ca)

(a - b + c)2 = a2 + b2 + c2 + 2(-ab - bc + ca)

(a + b - c)2 = a2 + b2 + c2 + 2(ab - bc - ca)

(a+b)3 = a3 + b3 + 3ab(a+b)

(a-b)3 = a3 - b3 - 3ab(a-b)

a3 + b3 = (a + b)(a2 - ab + b2)

a3 - b3 = (a - b)(a2 + ab + b2)

a3 + b3 + c3 - 3abc = (a + b + c)(a+ b+ c2- ab - bc - ca)

if a+b+c = 0, so a3 + b3 + c3 = 3abc
